“I have lived with dogs my whole life so I’ve had more than a few. But I believe all dog lovers will agree with me when I say that there is always that special dog, that one dog that will forever be your dog. Snoopy was that dog for me.
In 2008, I had just listened to a news report about how dogs and cats can sense cancer in humans.
Some days later I was laying on my bed with Snoopy who was suffering with breast cancer.
Soon she started sniffing and pressing her muzzle into my abdomen very intently, ‘What are you doing Snoop?’
I couldn’t get the incident from my mind especially remembering the news article earlier. I had a doctor’s appointment scheduled already and asked the physician to do some tests for my abdomen area. The results showed a cancerous tumor in my colon! Snoopy saved my life!
My fiancée had commissioned Fran to do a watercolor of Snoopy for me as a Christmas present, she captured a perfect likeness of my buddy with her talent.
I miss Snoopy every day and I look forward to seeing her again in the future when we meet at the Rainbow Bridge!”
